Dear Forum.

I have received from bailiff a claim to Magistrates court of Queensland; the claim being for Outstanding Council Rates.

When first approached by Dept Collector I asked for time to pay but I didn't receive any payment plan. Then I received this by hand.

Where do I go from here? I'm short of funds, don't work and on Age Pension.

Please help me on what to do about the claim.

Assuming the claim is correct, go to court and ask for a payment plan you can afford. Know what you can afford before court. Breaking a court ordered plan can have consequences you don't want.
