I’ve seen a lot of people getting shafted on gumtree - thought I was immune..

I was looking for a PlayStation VR headset - the V2 upgraded one. I asked the seller if the one he was selling was the V2 - he said yes.

I agreed on a price and went to collect. I did inspect the item but was in a rush and the fact the house absolutely stunk like stale cigarettes... I grabbed the headset and left.

Once I got home and opened the box, after being hit in the face from the god aweful smell, I noticed it wasn’t in fact the V2 headset.

I’ve asked for a refund to which the seller simply laughed at me and said “yeah, nah. No refunds, you inspected the item when you were here”. “Enjoy the smell!”.

Can I take the matter further - I have a record of messages of him stating it was the V2 headset.

TIA
