Hi,

It takes me forever reading through cases that I can say in court that are relevant.

Is there a knack for researching cases?

Thankyou you and happy Mother’s Day

You can search by exact phrase, all of these words, any of these words and various other methods, and you may also want to restrict your search only to the relevant databases, usually the FCCA.

I assume you know already that precedent plays little part in Family Law?

I'd be starting with the Family Court Full Court as my starting point. These cases can have precedent value (eg Rice v Asplund).

As AllForHer notes Family Law precedents are harder to pin down compared to other areas of law.
