Hi all,

My brother in law had a car accident in a car resisted in his name with his partner recently.
Apparently his partner was driving when they crashed to a tree.
He’s badly injured so will be in hospital for few weeks.

Police just called my mum in law stating that they’ll issue a bill for the despicable of the car but if his partner or my brother in law refuses to pay, mum has to pay as they are absolute losers & on centrelink for more than 20 years and have no money.

WTF ?!?!?!

The police will charge 70 years old pentioner for the incident absolutely non related to her ?!??

How on earth the people who caused the accident can refuse to pay and then it’s all poor old mum’s responsibility!

I’m sorry that I’m furious and emotional, my question is what happens to mum if she won’t pay...
The dept would pass on to other next of kins which would be my partner ?
What happens if we all refuse to pay ?

Thanks,
EJ
