VIC Is It Possible to Gain Compensation for Spiritual Abuse?

Is it possible to gain compensation or take someone or a group to court for emotional manipulation based upon a spiritual book or practice such as saying, hypothetically, God will kill you if you don't do X? And the above does damage to mental health, etc.

Hi,

I don't think so. Not based on what you have said. If they said "if you don't do X, I will kill you" and you could prove that you are in fear of your life, you would have a better chance. Spiritual threats of this nature have occurred through out history and still happen today. Best to steer clear of the group and move to a less fire and brimstone religion.
