Hi there,

In applying for permanent residency in Australia, we can include our children in the application. I have four children but two of them have autism. However, I would like to know if I can only include two of my children that have no disability in my application?

Thank you so much.

Hi,

If you are suggesting only applying with 2 of your children because you think your 2 children with Autism will have a negative impact on your application, I would be very careful. Even if you are granted permanent residency all children born out side of Australia will need to apply for permanent residency or a child visa and must meet the eligibility criteria.

So even if you are granted permanent residency it doesn't mean your 2 children with Autism will be able to stay because of your residency status.

If you want all four children to be able to stay in Australia,
then there will need to be applications for each one.

Don't believe the gossip circulating in some communities about how this stuff goes.
