My high school age daughter was involved in an incident whilst at school, she is seen retaliating to another child spitting in her hair.
The school will not allow me to view the video footage but want me to support their consequences.
Where do I stand?

Which state are you in?
Have you escalated to the school principal? If yes, what did they say?

Hmm - I'm in NSW. Not sure on whether this is federal or state legislation. BUT I am a school teacher. I've used a drone to film the playground to make a movie. I've had to make sure that student who can be identified in any footage has parental consent to be filmed... Have you given consent?

I know my school has installed security cameras - I reckon they might come back at you with an argument about filming beind different from publishing...

Plan b - if you think the consequence is reasonable - maybe choose your battles
