What is a gazetted road and how do I find out if my street is considered one?

What does 'direct access' mean in the sentence 'direct access to a gazetted road?'

Thanks.

- 'Gazette' refers to the Queensland Government Gazette which is a state government publication which contains assorted legal notices. The reference to a 'gazetted road' means it is considered to have been published in the gazette for some reason - it could be dedication, temporary or permanent closure, investiture in local government control...

- Direct access to a road means one of the boundaries of the property touches a road. That is, to get access to the road from the property you don't have to pass over someone else's property. All private property is generally considered to need access to the road system so not having direct access would be grounds for implementing a right of way easement across neighbouring property to the nearest roadway.
