Just wanted to know if I can receive compensation for spending time in jail for something I didn't do and was found not guilty.

In some circumstances you can get compensation, in other circumstances you won't. It will depend on the facts and you need to speak with a lawyer to see if your facts may qualify you for compensation.

Look for no win no fee lawyers - you'll give a goodly chunk in fees if you win, or ask at a local legal community centre.
