Hi

I once had a girlfriend. We were never legally together and kept separate addresses. We split up in 2011. She has found out by a mutual friend that I have gotten my life together.

She has messaged me claiming she is in financial hardship, as she has not been lodging her tax returns since 2011. Now that the tax office is after her, she is trying to blame me for not lodging her tax returns. We had no written agreement to this. I was also under going psychiatric care in 2011 for mental health issues and thus was in no fit state to make any such agreement, written or verbal.

Wondering does she have a claim on me? Is this something I should be worried about or can I ignore her? We have had no real contact other than the occasional Facebook message out of politeness in all that time.

Thanks

God no. You can and should ignore her.
