So I'm taking someone to court the family court the court date is in 3weeks, my lawyer has received confirmation that the person I'm taking to court that there lawywr is acting for them and that they will be in touch with my lawyer, however my lawyer has heard nothing back from this lawyer if she doesn't can this be used against the person in court and can the lawyer get in trouble for saying in writing that they are representing the person and they do no show

Can lawyer get in trouble. Nope they're good like that. So my thinking. The person engaged the solicitor, all good. Didn't like their advice, didn't pay the first bill OR changed their mind and decided to self represent OR simply not show up and put their head in the sand. All distinct possibilities and you'll likely find out which one it is in 3 weeks when you rock up to court.
