My sons are sole beneficiaries to their mothers estate and my ex-brother-in-law is the executor. He made quite a few extravagant purchases just after my ex passed away and I want to know where the money came from for the purchases as I feel he couldn't afford these things on his own. He is already claiming that she gifted him her vehicle before dying even though there is no paper trail to suggest that is the case.

My lawyer has contacted the estate lawyer for clarification but they are dodging and stalling and the costs are mounting on my side. What option do I have from here that won't break the bank and get answers for my sons?

Hi c_g

Im sorry to say the legal route is the only one. There is no low cost alternative to court. Executor have complete control and no oversight they are expare expected to to do the right thing and you have to get a judge to rule if they dont.

Sorry
