My partners ex is using all our trial documents outside of the Family Court including Trial Transcripts. He is using these outside of Australia however the principal stands, only us, our lawyers and the Court should be privy.

How illegal is this ?

What precedent cases are there? Is it considered a crime ? What is the consequence of prosecution and does it have to be private or can we just call the police.

Thanks in advance. No idea what appetite the Law has here to protect privacy.

Have a read of section 121 of the Family Law Act here: FAMILY LAW ACT 1975 - SECT 121 Restriction on publication of court proceedings

Note that only the Director of Public Prosecutions can commence proceedings in relation to an offence under s121, so it may be best to get legal advice on how to proceed. Legal Aid provides free consultations on family law matters, so it might be best to speak to them first.
