1. anyone got any experience of Judge Kevin Lapthorn in QLD?
2. does anyone know if courts are now having hearings in person or still by phone - have a date for Nov
3. my ex has accidentally via cloud sharing I guess, allowed him and his gf's photographic personal porno stash to end up on all my 12 year old's devices.....any advice.......anything I can do with this WRT court, NOR? And before someone warns me - I am well aware of the implications of sharing anything like that myself....its the children's access I am concerned about - currently in dad's care and I have no way to get it off their devices...

Notice of risk? really?

You have acknowledged it was accidental .... Why can't you just let him know what has happened so he can address it... Removing the devices that it's shared to would be one quick solution ...

so what have you done? Gee I'm hoping you're not leaving the stuff there and accessable as 'evidence'.
I'd be writing to the ex in a very non judgemental way... Be a solicitor. Dear ex. Please be advised..... while I realise this was accidental.... Please ensure in the future... (and just for fun) Please communicate with me how and when you have resolved this issue so that I can feel confident to allow the child to resume using their device...

So you have it on record because that seems to matter to you... And you have fixed the problem.

i am keen to let him know but since he has blocked my mobile and my email and deleted the parenting app, I am finding contacting him just a little bit tricky. Maybe snail mail?
i don't know it was accidental - but being rational, although his new partner has been going crazy posting all sorts of innuendo and silly stuff on facebook and insta. I wouldnt put it past her to be trying to get to me to "show" the extent of the relationship...dangerous game to play.

I've deleted it from the only device I have - there are at least 3 other devices with kids right now at their dads that I can't access.

Thanks Sammy - I will send something via the lawyers as they are the only ones able to contact him now, along with the zip file of photos! Child protection have also offered to give him a "friendly chat" on how to parent social media and devices...

Why the zip file, & why get immediately onto child services...

If you're going to have 12 year olds with their own devices, you could also make sure you familiarize yourself with any parental controls available .... one would be to turn off cloud sharing in this instance.

the zip file because i want it on record what has been sent/ shared / made accessible - whatever has happened....and i don't control the cloud sharing - thats the problem...the father does....or doesn't it would seem. I actually think its deliberate by the GF - but thats just my opinion.....based on her other crazy social media behaviours currently. and we had to remove a parental control app because the father was found to be using it remotely to continue to monitor my home internet after leaving the matrimonial home....yep - I don't think its that straight forward...I can't control what happens in the other parents home - but something needs to happen.....

no court can make an order to make a f-wit stop being a fwit. Nor can they punish them for being an f-wit... I wish the death penalty applied but it doesnt. If the ex or his girl friend are f-wits then you don't need legal advice you need psychological advice to help you cope. For what that is worth learning to ignore it. I mean really ignore it, as in not letting yourself get angry or stressed because of stupid is gonna get you further than anything the courts can do...

hey sammy - so update is that the other parties have now served me with a DVO - based mainly around her fear of intimate photo's being shared - but there has never been any threat or suggestion that I would share them. police were satisfied that I had advised my lawyer and advised CPU and had no intentions of doing anything else...and haven't!!! I have a temp restraining order that i didn't have opportunity to contest as court stamped friday, scheduled court for monday 0830am and i was served tuesday night. I have been in touch with DV lawyer - BUT - there is NO evidence attached to the DVO application. It has been written by gf, it is a private application....i am unclear on the burden of proof required on them OR me...for any of the "hearsay" allegations in the DVO....he wants to come into my house accompanied by police to retrieve an ipad he says is in my house that I logged onto as him to retrieve the photos - when actually this ipad is at HIS house and its because he gave it to kids during holidays that it has likely cloud shared his files to all devices by accident. Where do I stand...I am happy to let them in house - but what they going to do...turn over my undie drawers????
