SA Does User Repair Void Warranty under Consumer Law?

I have a friend with a tablet PC that is a few months old. The touch screen has been cracked. If we replace the screen would that void the warranty on the rest of the unit under Australian Consumer Law?

She is in the process of checking if her contents insurance will cover the repair.
I have done some digging around and found you can use non brand ink/toner or have a new care serviced anywhere but haven't found anything relating to this.

Is getting it replaced under warranty an option?

No the touch screen was accidentally damaged.

Check the T&Cs of the warranty on the item.
