I have recently purchased a car From a dealership using finance from an unrelated company.
All contracts have been signed and the dealership has received the finance. The vehicle was supposed to then be delivered to me.
the owner of the dealership has been texting and ringing demanding more money for the vehicle, he has been quit aggressive stating that a mistake has been made in the pricing.
They blamed the finance company, the finance company has sent proof that the dealer informed them of the final price for the vehicle.
The dealer is now refusing to hand over the vehicle And I’m stuck paying $17000 off because the contract with the finance company is final and past the ‘cooling off’ period.
I also really need the vehicle and want the dealership to honour its signed contract.
Do I have a leg to stand on?
Or can the dealership rescind the contract because they made a mistake?
I’m sure if I had signed a contract to overpay I would legally be held to it?
thanks in advance for your help.
