Hi , my daughters child support was cancelled over 4 years ago due to her being over 18 , i know 4 years ago i had some arrears but haven't heard anything about it , im about to get an inheritance , will this debt be chased up or is it written off....Any help appreciated thanks.

Pay the arrears before the inheritance arrives, and you'll be fine.

If your CS was collected by the CSA, then any arrears are & will remain a debt due to the commonwealth. While CSA may not 'chase it up' (may in part depend on the size of the debt) there is provision in the act for a payee to initiate proceedings.
