I'm employed as a contractor. I don't have an ABN yet. I haven't received my pay for my job yet. I want to quit.

Will I still get paid for what I worked?

In theory, yes. Getting the money may be an issue but cross that bridge when you get there.

This may be covered under Sham Contractor. You still have rights and may receive payment under an employee of a company. But if this is a 'job' you have quoted and done for someone, then you will be protected under contract law.

In both situations, I don't feel you will have any legal rights as a contractor without an ABN.
