Hey guys, next month I am moving from the UK to Canberra, and with the savings I have, I want to open a restaurant. Now I am looking for a company that can provide me with catering equipment for my restaurant. I want to know if I can make a contract with him while I am still in the UK? I need a lot of stuff for the kitchen like warmers and fridges.

Buying the equipment in Australia, while you are overseas,
is certainly possible.

However, finding a supplier who, as matter of prudent business practice,
will deal with you, as somebody overseas, without either
a validated credit card to secure the full amount, or
a full-amount bank transfer in advance, or
an Irrevocable Letter Of Credit, may be difficult.

Of course, before you arrive, you will need a visa that allows you to work in Australia.
