My child was enrolled in this childcare centre during early December. She was supposed to start on January 07 next year. I had to cancel, as I had to move houses and couldn’t use the facility. I called the centre to cancel on 16 December. I had paid $420 ($120 for stuff and $300 for deposit). I remember her telling me that $300 is refundable when my child leaves the centre. The manager tells that they are closing in a week and I did not give them notice of two weeks. To be fair, I have not used $120 worth of stuff (hat, bed sheet, sunscreen) that would’ve been given to my child. Plus, the deposit that needs to be returned. The manager says I will not get paid anything, due to late notice. Please help!!
