Hello,

I am being charged for not securing my firearms properly and would like to know where I stand. Should I plead guilty or not guilty?

The police came to my house to executed a warrant. I was in process of moving my firearms cabinet from one room to another room. My safe was not bolted to the wall or floor. Police seized my firearms and charged me. I told them what I was doing but they wouldn't accept it.

WA laws may be slightly different to Queensland's, but my off the cuff understanding is that when moving a safe you need to house the weapons somewhere else.

You need to take all the paperwork you were given and see a solicitor.
