I was informed that my title and role had changed. The role is only 30% of what my previous role was. When I asked if I didn't want to do the role what were the alternatives, I was told I either take the role or leave the company. The role is a higher salary but as the role is not what I want to do and I have expressed this to the company, can the company get away without offering a redundancy? I have been with the company for 15 years.

Hi Janine,
I'm pretty sure that as long as you are offered role with the same or higher salary they are being fair and reasonable. You could call the fair work ombudsman, that might be your best bet.

Yes as long as the role is not a demotion and you have the skills and training available to do the new role they are within their rights
