Hello, this is regarding a deceased estate. My mother has made a will and named my Aunty as executor. My brother, sister and I are beneficiaries. The grant of probate has gone through and my Aunty has had one real estate agent and we got two others to get advice on sale of the property. My sister and I want to paint the property to prepare for sale however my Aunty may refuse permission. We have said we will pay the total cost and there will be no cost to the estate. What legal rights do we have? If my Aunty says no defiantly can we refuse to sell the property until the assets have been put in our name in March? My brother does not want to pay for any of the works and has been difficult in giving us permission to do so also.
