My mother died in February this year. She left two versions of her will .The first will made in 2015 was signed and witnessed and left my brother (executor) three quarters and myself one quarter of her estate. Her reason being that my brother undertook renovations on her house. This is untrue, no renovations have been done, only maintenance paid by herself. The second updated version made in 2018 was signed by her and not witnessed at all, and left my brother the whole estate, her reason being that she dislikes her grandchildren, which is also untrue, she had loved them, been interested in them, and we had just visited her (we are interstate) for a week and had a lovely time together. She was of sound mind, but it all seems suspicious to use these reasons. Are these reasons enough to challenge it? Its been nearly six months and my brother has not applied for probate as yet.
