VIC Can giving information to the Govt affect an IVO?

Just a quick question if a big Government agency requests information from you about your ex-partner. If I supply this could it affect an IVO against me?

I guess more so, if the other party found out you supplied information to the Govt on request. Would that be meet a breach of an IVO?

I doubt it. Your only other option would be to lie to the government. I wouldn't advise doing that. As long as you are being truthful, I don't see any problem.

Is the govt agency asking for the info from you? or are you looking at telling the govt (centrelink for example) about some centrelink fraud?

Yes specifically asking me to respond. Not centrelink more immigration related.

Not sure that is why I am checking, they are quite broad it seems.
I assume because a Govt agency is asking for the info it would not be considered a breach.

Normally breaches are to do with contacting the ex and children, or having someone else do so.

A government agency fulfilling their statutory obligations is unlikely to be a breach of an IVO.
