A realtor claimed a lease was sent to her from our current property manager showing that we renewed for 6 more months. My wife told her that if our names were on it, it's forgery. Needless to say, we didn't get the property and was flat out ignored when requesting evidence or more information about this lease so we can confront our management.

We had an extremely stressful couple weeks believing we were sabotaged and this will happen to more applications...our managers denied it and said it was for another property, but the dates the realtor mentioned were on the lease happen to be from the day we got a message from the office asking if we wanted to renew, and I found that suspicious. we responded no and proceeded with the proper notice of intent to vacate.
Are real estate companies allowed to make claims like this and not give you the evidence to file a police report? A week later she replied that she will send it if she could find it and it's not a big deal. She never sent it and ignored further request and we still haven't seen this email/lease
