Call out fee not quoted

New electric gates put in, I found gates to no open properly and the timer on them was too short.
Gates did not open properly for me and I accidentally ran into them.

Text company and ask them to come and check the gates.

They never called just text saying they would come sometime.

Long time later after several texts said they would come out that night.

Next day recieved text to say did not find fault please, will send bill for call out and one hours labour.

should of this been quoted when I requested a call out?

Daddy,
The gates might be under warranty so no call out fee probably applies.
Secondly, if there was to be scallops out fee, somewhere along the line they probably should,d have told you there would be such a fee. Hope that helps.
