My son is building a new house and the builder has run out of cash flow and has stopped building with $60,000 worth of work to go. What legal avenues can he pursue?

He is paying off a home loan (mortgage) to the bank and has nowhere to live,. The builder says it will cost $60,000 to finish, but my son has paid invoices with only $10,000 to complete the purchase. This building has been going for over 12 months. He needs help.
