Mother died eighteen years ago. Unclaimed monies found in RevenueNSW. Her executor no longer alive. Executor was her solicitor. Dead executor’s wife next in chain of representation. Dead solicitor’s law firm now the only ones able to place claim. This law firm is indicating that it will charge (a lot) to place the claim. Given that the executor was paid to administer the estate in the first place does his firm have the right to charge to make this claim? I am a proven beneficiary.
