I need to find out about a problem on our boundary, next door have had a huge tree removed so we can erect a new fence. A retaining wall is needed on our side and all was going well until they found out removing the root ball would cause there shed floor to collapse and damage to ours. The retaining wall needs to do a detour into our property run past the root ball and back to the boundary. We have not received any pricing or who will be responsible for the extra costs ( have requested this). We are concerned we will be gifting??? this land to them ??as we intend to subdivide in the future and not sure of the ramification. Any feed back would be appreciated

They need to reinstate their property so no damage is done to yours.

They have to put the land back into a condition so that it does not damage anything on your side of the fence. They must ensure your property remains unaffected by anything they do.
