Hi,

I am a noble citizen. I like to call the police whenever I see a crime being committed. I have done this on a few occasions. The police take my details each time and rightly so.

However, due to a mental health condition (agrophobia) I cannot attend court to give evidence. I am concerned that one day the court may ask me to give evidence and I do not want to do this. What avenues do I have if I am subpoenaed to give evidence?

Thanks

It will largely be up to the court how they proceed. They may take an affidavit, but it is worth less if the other side contests your evidence, and you don't appear for cross-examination. Many courts are now allowing evidence to be given via video or telephone link.
