NSW Australian Law - Are Terrorists Put in Jail or Deported?

Hi

I am asking this question for the reason to end an argument with a friend.

With the terrorist laws in Australia, if a person is found guilty of a terrorist act, does the person get deported to his/her respective country or does he/she go to jail? And if found guilty, does the family of the guilty person get deported as well?

Can you explain if the guilty person goes to jail, when the term in jail is over, what happens to terrorist?
Released to the community? Or not?

In general, and assuming the act happens on Australian soil:

1. Goes to jail. May be deported after jail, see ans 3.
2. Only if material assistance is provided, then they may be jailed, or deported, or jailed then deported. Just having the terrorist live in your house is unlikely to be deemed material assistance.
3. Depends. If they are an Australian citizen, and not a citizen of another country, there is nowhere to deport them to. Not sure what happens if they are a dual citizen.

Convicted terrorists are generally held in prisons with other terrorists. I think the argument for this is that they won't radicalise other inmates but they still kind of feed of each other's radicalism. Some experts believe the idea of terrorists being held together has major negative consequences due to there being no chance of rehab e.t.c
