Hi all
I have a family law question.
A close member of my family who is an Aust Citizen is currently residing in Lebanon and is going through a divorce.

Childrens custody will be arranged there, however they have joint property in Australia. She wants to claim her share.

Her lebanese lawyer cannot get involved as there is no jurisdiction between Lebanon and Australia.

What type of Lawyer would she need to seek in Aust?
Do they have to have connection with a Laywer in Lebanon or are they seperate matters.
Is it a specialised lawyer that she needs to seek or just a lawyer who deals with Family Law?

She has spent $10k with an aussie lawyer and 95% of the costs were mainly reading her emails and listening to her voice messages. He is mercenary and shows no empathy.
She is in a foreign country and cannot came back as her husband wont allow her to bring the kids back.Very sad

I so want to help her. What shall she do.
Hope you can shed some light on this matter.
