Hi,

We are a sporting club and due to conflict of interest last year, we had to remove a committee member from the board of committee. Our AGM is coming up and we believe they will nominate again and get a seconded motion but it is not in our club's interest.

Does the nomination have to be accepted or are there ways to reject a nomination on certain grounds?

Thanks in advance

Look at your club rules.

If the rules are silent on preconditions for committee membership the person is able to be nominated again.

I would have thought being removed from a committee would be grounds enough to not be re-elected. At least until they atone for their previous violation that resulted in their removal from the committee.
