Hi, could someone direct me to the relevant laws regarding sexual abuse of power in the workplace? The situation is concerning 2 people in a relationship whilst one is the others boss. The underling needed to rely on the boss in order to gain an academic qualification.

Thank you

This is a tough one to call.

No one law covers the field and a lawyer would need to look at the details to work out what laws may have been contravened. It is possible no law has been broken.

And who is to say the acts were not instigated by the underling to gain a benefit.

Discussion of the details of the events are not appropriate for a forum like this and is better taken to a lawyer.

Yea, no law was broken unless there was coercion.

It could be the case that company policy was broken though, which could be sufficient to result in termination of employment, but just no actual law is broken.
