(event over 15 years ago) be criminally charged for bestiality, if they disclosed this to a medical professional and would the professional be allowed to break confidentiality to report this past crime

I was informed from a trusted friend who is worried about opening up about it, and thought maybe I could try and help gather some more professional knowledge about the laws surrounding this type of activity.
