I’m currently two years into a legal settlement battle with my ex. I have been paying a weekly instalment to my lawyer the past few months . I recently received a break down of the costs involved if we are to continue down this path of fighting over property settlement . He asked for $10000 to go into a trust . I can’t afford to pay and he has withdrawn from my case . Please, how do I move forward in trying to fight my ex wife ??? She owes me money in the settlement and every offer she has made has been way below standard .

We are online????
I know . Thankyou . I don’t know what to say. I’m stressed . I no longer have a lawyer and I can’t afford one . She has a lawyer . Can I represent myself ? Can I go to mediation myself and negotiate ? Will her lawyer contact me direct from now on with settlement offers etc

We have exchanged most of the necessary documents . However, she is now dragging it out - asking for more valuations on the properties etc as she knows I’ve fallen into financial difficulty . Thanks for your reply

She owes you money, and if you truly cannot afford another valuation, then either try to have an agreed value with your ex, or if she insist, ask her to pay the whole valuation costs and deduct your share from the amount she owes you.
