Sorry if this post comes off as weird since I'm sure nobody has heard off this situation before.

My friend told me about a cookbook called the "Anarchists Cookbook" so I searched it up and clicked on a pdf copy, then that same friend told me that the book was illegal in many countries and it contained material i didn't think was in the book.
I clicked on the website once out of interest with no clue as to the contents of the book.
Will I be arrested or raided by police because I visited this illegal website?

Thanks.

Generally, no - but it depends on the content.

If a website contains content that breaches the law, authorities would normally just pursue the operator or owner, not visitors. There are exceptions though, such as accessing sites related to child pornography and terrorism.

The book is banned, as in illegal for a store to stock and sell, but not illegal for a person to possess, read or buy, online or otherwise.

If you ever made something from the book (firearm, explosive) and the police can’t link that thing to you but find that book on your person/property, with instructions in the book that match exactly what you’ve made.
Well then they can use the book as evidence that the illegal item not only is yours but was manufactured by you.

If it interests you, buy it.
Just leave it in a cupboard labelled “apocalypse” then if anyone hassles you about it start telling them Earth is flat and you can prove it
