I'm in the same boat as Jezz, request for a refund has been denied. Was advised not to attend thethe ev in order to get refund and now I'm regretting that decision.

Would appreciate any advice. Would anyone be able to send me the email template they used?

Thanks

@Refundrejected tickets were purchased on the 9th of October. Wbu?

If you have any proof of the promo materials, please let me know the exact dates

I called the ACCC about my rights. They told me to email TEG Live stating that they have breached section 18 of the act and to request a full refund.

Important to note that the law references unintentional conduct, so even if they didn't mean to be deceptive it is about the perceived result.

If I don't hear back, I will contact Consumer Affair Victoria who will fight this on my behalf.

Can confirm was offered a refund, too. Seems like they’re taking a big hit.
@BlueShirt are you able to DM me your emails or some tips? I contacted teg live prior to the game and they told me to not attend if i wanted to a pursue a refund and now they're telling me that i should have gone and asked for a better seat and if i was dissatisfied with that i couldve asked for a refund on the spot.

I have copies of the promotion TEG used with the famous NBA players, promising the biggest names in basketball. I think we should all be entitled for a refund as they promoted this without securing these basketballers. They arent injured so they cant use that as an excuse. No way would people have spent the money they did had they known who was really representing USA basketball.

Hi Julie, any chance you can share the copies of the promotion from TEG Live with the star players that never made the actual games and with dates when they were published? Thanks in advance!

I'm also one of the many people that was declined for refund.
TEG Live said they haven't advertised photos of the players the time we bought the tickets.
Their excuse is so untrue, the main reason we bought tickets is because we saw Lebron James, James Harden, Steph Curry and other NBA superstars in their advertisements.
Now we're trying to gather proofs to get back to them.
Hope you can help us. Thanks.

Hi all,

My name is Bridget, I have decided to create a Google drive to share all of the evidence and email template with everyone.

Basketball Tickets – Google Drive

If people could please email through evidence of the promotional materials they have (ideally with dates) as well as any evidence of TEG advising people not to attend if they wanted a refund that would be really helpful. Any evidence I receive, I will post to the drive for all to access.

My email is
b r i d g 9 7 @ g m a i l . c o m
(I had to post with the spaces, in order to get this posted).

My next step is to contact Consumer Affair Victoria. I am also willing to pay the $50 filling fee to have this matter heard at VCAT.

Hi all,

Just checking if anyone had any luck on acquiring more evidence to be added on Bridget's Google drive?
Particularly advertisements from TEG Live back in March 2018 where posters/images contains NBA players that weren't in the final roster.

Hope we can all help out each other.

Hi Bridget,

I emailed you an image where Ben Simmons and Lebron James are featured, however I don't
