A caveat was put on property and proceedings were lodged three months later. In December last year an offer was made but there has not been any reply to counter this or accept. It has been eight months since we have had any contact from the other side.
How long do proceedings remain open. Can we request removal since such a long time has lapsed.
What options might be available to remove the caveat.
Thanks.

This will depend a lot on the jurisdiction and the reason for the caveat, etc. Presumably if you're involved in litigation, you have a solicitor, and you should ask them.

Why did they put it on in the first place?
