Hi all,

If a trial is underway, and you have a direct brief barrister. Can you somehow ask to view the subpoenas of the case?

Yes. Though they should have been sent to you anyway. Seeing the results is different and depends on the court.

The court needs to grant leave before you an view the subpoenaed documentation.

Special Orders with 4 clauses were written by the Judge prior to trial after I bitched and moaned that all parties should have access to the subpoena material, (that has been granted leave), not the just the ICL be given special privileges, as was the case initially, then 10 days out from trial I contacted the subpoena dept in Brisbane, only to be told that the subpoenas for the trial have already been boxed up and shipped to Central Ql.

I said when do I get to see them, the response, as you'll have to sort it out with the associate during the week the Court is sitting in your town... What a shonky and broken system.
