NSW Caught Shoplifting - Will This be on My Criminal Record?

Hey,

My mate and I got caught shoplifting $4 worth of chicken fingers from Woolworths. They didn't call the police and all they did was give us a 3-month ban from every Woolworths. They also didn't give me a fine. They will be sending a letter home but I was wondering if this will go on my criminal record or any record for that matter or is it just for Woolworths?

Unless the police are involved there is no criminal record.

By the way you written, it seems you are young. Let this be a lesson to you. As Tony stated, no criminal record, this is just between you and Woolies. Don't learn how to shoplift, it will affect your life negatively, you are still young and you have your life infront of you, don't do anything that will make it more hard on yourself.

don't steal stuff, and go get on with your lives.
