Hi, please help

I bought a 2 year old VW with less than 30k km's with another 12 months manufacturer's warranty to expire.
The car has been giving trouble, when to the VW dealer 3 times did not get fixed properly. It was taken to the manufacturer's dealer for the 4th time and now been with the dealer for over 6 weeks still not fixed. I have made to sure VW head office is involved too.

According to ACCC and NSW fair trading they can't help because it was a private purchase. My question is where to do I go to to recover my money or get a replacement since it can be categorised as a major repair, Do I goto NSW civil and tribunal administrative tribunal and which government authority can help me?

Anyone else in this predicament?

Sorry 63 views but no opinions, must be a very grey area. After all it is worth spending few thousands of dollars and buying from car dealer.

hi theres a few things you should consider :
1. did the seller make any misleading representations .. e.g this car is perfect no issues, when clearly there were issues;
2. in relation to the dealer warranty need to take a closer read of the terms of what recourse you have under the warranty.
3. if VW are incapable of fixing the problem then you may qualify to have the car replaced as with most major car dealers.
