Hi,
I own a shop and the property around the corner have contacted me saying they are going to build and want permission to all my plans and building plans for my shop before they build. They say it's not to disturb the foundation.

Is there anything I should be cautious of?

Is this common?

Should I refuse to hand it over?

Please help.

I can't see why you should hand over these documents.

Property boundaries etc are available for a fee from your state based land titles office.

Any proposed work, is not allowed to interfere with your properties structural integrity

Thanks for your reply @Tripe !

Ive had a couple of people say that I shouldn't hand them over. They're saying they just want them to make sure they don't damage any of my property, what the legal standpoint as to why i shouldn't hand them over?

What's the legal standpoint that they can force you to hand over private plans?

If it's in your interest to hand them over, hand them over.

If it's not, don't hand them over.
