I have moved to Bankstown 2 weeks ago with my family. The past week there has been yelling and shouting going on in the corridors of the units due to gatherings from other tenants with their friends. Also there has been drug dealing in the front of the car park. We know the car registration number. We went to the police and reported the incident...

We are raising a 15-year-old and we are very worried in what suburb we are raising our child in. My husband works night shift and is away at nights so I'm very concerned and when to break the lease which is for 6 months.

What can we do?

Tell the landlord/agent, in writing, that you do not have 'quiet enjoyment' of the premises and that you feel unsafe. Explain why and see what happens.
