I requested my solicitor give me my file. He ignores my requests. I don't owe him any money. How may I get him to pass it over?

You say you don't owe him any money, but does he think you owe him money?

Advise the solicitor that he is in breach of section 14 of the NSW solicitor's rules. BTW, the solicitor does need to, nor should he, give you 'your file'. He only has to give certain documents to you.

It was another solicitor who advised me to request ''my file''from the first solicitor.The first solicitor has ignored three requests for it; It seems pointless to tell him he is in breach of solicitors rules since ignoring requests would seem to be a ploy for me to go away;
